Alarrive ("the app") is an alarm clock that wakes you early enough to arrive on time by checking live traffic and weather for your route. This policy explains what data the app uses and how.
Summary
- Alarrive has no user accounts and does not sell your data.
- Your alarms, saved places, and settings are stored only on your device.
- To show weather and travel times, the app sends your location or the addresses you enter to two service providers (OpenWeatherMap and HERE).
- The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Information the app uses
Location. With your permission, the app uses your device's approximate or precise location to fetch local weather and to estimate your commute. If you deny location, you can set a default city instead.
Addresses you enter. Starting points and destinations you type (or save as places like Home/Work) are used to calculate routes and travel times. Saved places are stored on your device.
Alarms & settings. Your alarms, preferences, and last known location are stored locally on the device using the platform's standard storage. Device backup of this data is disabled.
Data shared with service providers
To provide its core features, the app sends the minimum necessary data to:
- OpenWeatherMap — receives your coordinates or city name to return the local forecast. (privacy policy)
- HERE Technologies — receives your start and destination to return routes and traffic-aware travel times. (privacy policy)
These requests are made over HTTPS. The app does not send this data anywhere else, and does not store it on any server it controls (it has no server).
Purchases
Alarrive Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. The app never sees or stores your payment details; Google handles the transaction. The app only records, on your device, whether Pro is unlocked.
What the app does NOT do
- No accounts, sign-in, or profiles.
- No advertising identifiers, ad networks, or cross-app tracking.
- No selling or sharing of personal data for marketing.
- No collection of contacts, photos, messages, or call logs.
Permissions
- Location — local weather and commute estimates (optional).
- Notifications — to ring the alarm and show reminders.
- Exact alarms / schedule — to fire the alarm at the exact time.
- Internet — to fetch weather and route data.
Children
Alarrive is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Data retention & deletion
All app data lives on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it. You can also clear alarms and saved places within the app at any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
